I’m loving being in Borneo, but a little flavour of home never hurts now and again.

1. Orange juice from the fridge. Cucumber sandwiches.

2. Radio 4 and even The Archers.

3. The Guardian – particularly reading stories about UKIP. Some things never change.

4. Upping my tweet rate to be more in touch with people back home.

5. Planning my photography projects here so as I can share them with friends and family.

6. Good luck cards from loved ones standing on the chair in my bedroom.
